Valentine’s Day showcase

Valentine’s Day showcase

Love. Chocolates. Mini hearts. Stuffed animals. Raging emotions.

Heartbreak. Independence. Friendship. And just about every Taylor Swift breakup song.

Valentine’s Day is associated with Love; boyfriends, girlfriends, candy and the cutest dates of the year. But to some students, it means something beyond that. It can be a painful reminder of heartaches, or a reminder that you don’t need to be in a relationship to be worth something. It is even a reminder of how important friends are.

On February 5, DV choir is having a Valentine’s Day showcase fundraiser. Students will be singing pop, love-related songs in solo or ensemble acts all evening, from 7:00-8:30 in the blackbox. Tickets are $10 per person, available at the bookstore or at the door, and include drinks and delicious snacks. Support Desert Vista choir and come enjoy a showcase of the school’s best voices.
