The political Snapchat race

With the 2016 election heating up, candidates are doing all they can to appeal and reach to their potential voters, most prominently on social media. All the candidates have been posting and Instagram and Twitter, but some are campaigning to the youngest of voters through snapchat. Chris Christie and Marco Rubio have gotten on the snapchat train and have used it to bash their competitors, most notably Donald Trump. Trump has been the star of many campaigning snapchats, and filters have been created with the assistance of other candidates. Hillary Clinton has allied with snapchat to create anti-Trump filters, the most popular being a hat with the words “Deport Trump” written on the front of it. Clinton plans to launch her own snapchat campaign in the near future and although Trump has had a public snapchat in the past, no active political account has been activated through him.
