Why more people are eating at McDonald’s

McDonald’s has gained a bad reputation in the recent decade. Sales have not done as well as they have in the past, and the top tier employees of the company have been struggling to find a way to restructure McDonald’s. They may have finally done it. Sales are soaring, and many suspect it’s because of breakfast. McDonald’s made its breakfast menu available all day in late 2015 and ever since they made that modification, there has a great improvement in sales. This is the first time sales have risen in two years. The franchise, finding something that has finally been successful, are now optimistic about the future. But despite positive reactions, many employees are not happy. Although sales have increased, revenue has decreased, and there has been significant downsizing both in restaurant staffing and in corporate positions. Although things with McDonald’s are not as great as they appear, they have sparked some panic with other businesses. Other restaurant chains that serve all-day breakfast, such as iHop and Sonic, have been claiming that the jump in sales is not a big deal and have spoken out about it. They believe that the increase will be temporary, and that once the hype dies down and “people get sick of butter-soaked Egg McMuffins” according to NBC, things will be as it was.
