Hugh Jackman recently announced on Facebook that he has skin cancer. Jackaman posted a photo with a bandage over his nose and urging his followers to wear sunscreen and get regular check-ups in order to prevent skin cancer. Jackman has the mildest form of skin cancer, called Basal Cell Carcinoma, which is typically not fatal and is what 80% of all skin cancer patients have. This isn’t Jackman’s first bout with Basal Cell either. According to CNN, this will be the fourth time he will have had the cancer, his last treatment in 2013. His announcement has brought forth other people’s skin cancer stories and overall has brought more awareness to cancer by showing that even Wolverine is vulnerable.
