Getting in the fall spirit
The cold weather is coming, and as summer transitions to autumn, autumn calls for new clothes, new recipes and new house decorations. Although Arizona’s weather doesn’t call for much more than a hoodie, we can still use the new season as an excuse to update our wardrobes. So as fall approaches, here are some ideas of how to get in the spirit of the season:
1. Find suitable clothing for the weather. This doesn’t mean buying an entire new wardrobe. Sometimes, summer clothing can be used in the fall with the simple addition of tights, boots or a scarf. However, if you are willing to splurge on fall clothing, consider buying a heavy coat in a neutral color so it can be worn with almost any outfit. Also, a sweater and a skirt worn together can achieve both comfort and style in one look.
- Transform your home into an autumn wonderland. Cinnamon candles, Halloween decorations or a few fall themed throw pillows can all add character and warmth to a home. These items can be purchased for a decent price and will make your home inviting and beautiful.
- Embrace the ingredients of the season. With the fall season comes the pumpkin season. Pumpkin pie, pumpkin bread, pumpkin muffins, pumpkin cookies, roasted pumpkin seeds, pumpkin scones and pumpkin cheesecake are just a few of the recipes that can be made using this seasonal ingredient. Baking a pumpkin recipe is a wonderful way to get into the autumn spirit. Cinnamon is also a key ingredient in many fall recipes and can be used to a create a pumpkin spice latte.
- Thanksgiving is coming soon, and while this means being grateful for everything you have, it also means more home decor and more recipes, so be sure to make your favorite foods and decorate accordingly for the holiday.
To enjoy fall to the fullest, follow these steps and add whatever creativity you desire .Never forget to cherish every moment of autumn, because it only comes around once a year.
