Monday, February 15, marks the night of the 58th annual Grammy Awards. Every year, the awards are hosted to recognize those who have made an exceptional contribution to the music industry.

With the Grammys approaching, it’s time to look into the nominees this year and choose who you want to win each award. The categories range from best R&B song to record of the year to rap song of the year. All styles of music are represented at the Grammys so everyone will be able to watch and enjoy at least one performance on Monday, February 15.

Leading in number of nominations are Kendrick Lamar, Taylor Swift and the Weeknd.

Lamar leads with 11 nominations, while Swift and the Weeknd tie with 7. Lamar’s nominations include Album of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Rap Album and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.

Swift was nominated for Album of the Year, Song of the Year, Record of the Year, Best Pop Solo Performance, Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, Best Pop Vocal Album and Best Music Video.

The Weeknd was nominated for Album of the Year, Record of the Year, Best Pop Solo Performance, Best R&B Performance, Best Urban Contemporary Album, Best R&B Song and Best Song Written for Visual Media.

New artists such as the Weeknd and Meghan Trainor are being recognized, as well as celebrated artists such as Swift and Kelly Clarkson, who have been household names for years. There will be amazing performances, tears of joy, and happiness all around.

The Grammys aired on CBS at 8/7 central on February 15. Be sure to set aside the time to watch artists and producers accept awards for truly incredible music that has impacted everyone in the industry.
