Lukas Graham redefines soul pop music

A few months ago, hardly anybody was familiar with the Danish band Lukas Graham. But with the recent release of the hit song “7 Years,” Lukas Graham has developed a large following. “7 Years” is part of an album that will be released soon by the European band.

The hit “7 Years” is an emotional song that chronicles the life of Lukas Forchhammer, the band’s lead singer. At a young age, he was lonely and heeded his parents’ advice to make friends. He sings about his music, his experience in losing his father at a young age and his eventual death. The lyrics of this song are very real and meaningful, since Forchhammer is singing about the story of his own life. He sings with passion and emotion as he tells his own story of what has happened so far in his life (his childhood, his musical ambitions and more) and what will come in the future (his family and ultimately his death).

Another singled that has been released by Lukas Graham is titled “Mama Said,” and the full album is expected to be released March 25, 2016.

Established in 2011, the Danish band has come a long way since their early days in Denmark, where they are originally from. Although they are newly popular, they deserve all of their success. Their fame will most likely only increase as time goes on and they release more music. Their talent will hopefully take them many places in their musical career.
