No Man’s Sky

No Man’s Sky

No Man’s Sky is an adventure game which has no purpose but to explore. This usually turns most people away but there is a lot more to it than you would think. The game is being made and published by Hello Games and is expected to release sometime in June of 2016.

The previous record for the biggest game ever was Guild Wars Nightfall being about twice the size of Israel. No Man’s Sky will destroy that record using a sequence of mathematical equations that will make literally as big as our galaxy. There are going to be around 18 quintillion planets each having there own unique landscape. Each planet will have its own species of animals and plants.

There is a multiplayer mode, but the game is so big according to the developers you will never find someone unless you cheat. Most information about the multiplayer mode has been held from being released.

The point of the game is discover planets and species of animals that live on them. One notable feature is that if your first to discover a planet or animal your name will be branded on it forever. Anyone else that finds the planet or animal will be alerted that you were the one who found it first.

The trick to such a big game in only 6 gigabytes of storage is said to be set in equations that remember the set of the land. If you leave a planet and travel across the galaxy somewhere else if you come back the equation will be entered and everything will be exactly the same. The developers have been very quiet about how they manage to do this due to it being such an incredible discovery for games.

When this game comes out there are already many people who are waiting to pick it up. So far no one knows how it will do in the eyes of the players but it is receiving positive feedback from early testing and gameplay.
