American Idol

This year American Idol celebrates its 15th season, which also will be its last. With returning judges from recent years, Jennifer Lopez, Keith Urban and Harry Connick Jr. and host Ryan Seacrest.

Ryan actually owes his fame to the show. It is unknown if past judges will make surprise guest appearances. There have been several appearances by past contestants, Kelly Clarkson, Clay Aiken and many more. They also had a week that had past contestant’s team up for duets with this year’s contestants.  Of course, they were judged and critiqued in those performances. The three judges that started it all were Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson and Paula Abdul. Each brought very distinctive personalities to the show, people either loved or hated them.

Idol can be watched nationwide on the Fox Network or if you miss a show or want to re watch a show, you can watch full episodes online by going to FOXNOW. You also can find out what other people think of the show and who their favorites are. There will be six weeks of finals, consisting of seven live shows and ten finalists.  They then go to the TOP SIX, which has already aired.

As always, finalist will be eliminated by America’s votes. The competition is fierce this year, with a wide range of musical styles.  From country, to blues, and boy band to diva. Over the years, Idol has created a lot of stars, and they were not always the winners or even runner ups. Many found fame by being “seen” on the show. Country stars, Christian singers and pop etc.

Kelly Clarkson won season one, and then you have many others, such as, Jordan Sparks, Kellie Pickler, Carrie Underwood, Jennifer Hudson, Chris Daughtry and David Cook. With the talent this year at an all-time high, and millions of people watching and voting, it will be interesting to see who wins and becomes the next and last, American Idol.
