New Indiana Jones movie

It’s true, finally, Steven Spielberg and Harrison Ford announced a new Indiana Jones movie. Film will be made by Lucasfilm and is expected to release in the summer of 2019. Harrison also is reprising his famous role of Hans Solo, in the Star Wars movie series. That has already begun filming.  Harrison is very busy bringing back his we’ll known characters.

Spielberg directed the four previous movies in the franchise and will return to direct the fifth. Harrison Ford is also returning in his iconic role and rumor has other veterans will return as well. The series started in 1981, with Raiders of the Lost Arc, listed as one of a hundred best movies of all time. Harrison stars as an archaeologist, with many adventures, thrills and humor.

The original movie was followed by Indian Jones and The Temple of Doom, released in 1984 next, you had Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, released in 1989. Then came, Indian Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull in 2008. The four movies brought in nearly two billion dollars globally. No announcement has been made as to who will be writing the screenplay for this latest installment.

When Ford had been asked in the past if he would like to reprise his role in the franchise, he answered with a firm yes. “Yeah, I would love to do another Indiana Jones”. Spielberg has also always stated he would love to do another film that it all depended on George Lucas.

However it is unclear if George will be involved in this film. Lucas has sold his company to Walt Disney Co. It is unclear what George’s role will be, if he is included at all. Also, it has been made clear that Indian Jones will not be played by a younger actor then Ford. There is only one Indian Jones and he will be starring in the newest movie, Harrison Ford. Official release date for the fifth movie to hit the big screen is July 19th, 2019.
