Star Wars: Episode VII-The Force Awakens, was a mega hit of 2015. It brought back loved characters from the original Star Wars movies, Han Solo, Chewbacca, even a surprise short scene with Luke Skywalker. It left us waiting for the next episode, movie. The latest setting for filming the new Star Wars Movie, Episode VIII, is on a yacht, off the shore of Dubrovnik in Croatia.

The yacht is named, Sea Star, and you could see the crew and cast filming aboard it. Cast was dressed in full costumes, formally as dignitaries. The women wore flowing robes and dresses while the men looked like they had on formal military uniforms. Many of the women wore hairstyles that looked like the old style that Princess Leia wore, the round braids on each side of her head. There were green screens, to set different scenery, and large production lights Focus appeared to be centered on two characters, a female and male, humanoid aliens, as they conversed at the rear of the ship.

The rest of the characters were a bizarre mix of human and alien species, spread around the ship. The usual mixture we have seen in the Star Wars films. There were small tables scattered around the boat and characters could be seen conversing, standing around them. It looked like a cocktail party or reception of some kind. They also continued filming over the weekend with the same cast of characters and crew on the mainland of Croatia.

 There have been photos of a vehicle that looks similar to a “land cruiser”, the vehicle that Luke Skywalker used in the past Star Wars movies. Unfortunately, none of the movies main stars have been seen yet.  It still is unknown when the main characters will start filming. However, there have been rumors that a few had started filming in Ireland, but no pictures have been released. There is plenty of time for filming, as the new movie has a release date of December 15,2017. It is expected to be as big a hit or even bigger than the previous movie, Episode VII.
