World of Warcraft is receiving a new expansion in the fourth quarter of this year. Called legion, it is planned to be released on or before September 21st.

Just like the previous expansion, it increases the maximum level from 100 to 110 so that players can level up longer. It will include a new place in Azeroth known as the Broken Isles, this is where you spawn if you choose the new hero class.

The new hero class is called the demon hunter and it starts you off at level 98 instead of 1. Demon hunter are apart of a group known as the Illidari, the highest ranking guard of Illidan Stormrage during his rule of the outland during the burning crusade.

Along with a new class the previous ones are being modified. Any overpowered classes will lose power while bad classes get and increase in stats. Most classes are getting their stats tweaked, however the hunter is changing specialization.

Hunters normally rely on their pets to help them while they shoot from a distance with their bow. Now one of their specializations will allow you to wield a sword to aid their pet in battle.

They are also adding Artifacts, these are special weapons only the very best players can acquire. Although small information has been given on this Blizzard announced there will be 36 weapons that are very powerful.

This expansion is what Blizzard is hoping will revive the game since it lost over 4 million subscriptions. Just like the players they want something new to do other than just quests and raids, hopefully this will be the breakthrough they need.
