50 Shades of Yellow
The release of the infamous movie based off the book Fifty Shades of Grey, was introduced alongside The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge out of Water. But in the MetroLux 14 theater in Johnstown, Colorado, something went very wrong.
As SpongeBob began rolling, it was quickly noticed that the trailers were suited more towards romance flicks. When the title Fifty Shades of Grey popped up on the big screen, parents were frantic. They fought to drag their innocent children away from the scenic opening.
“People ran out of there,” said Joe Jaramillo, Johnstown resident, “You could hear little kids going, ‘SpongeBob! SpongeBob!’ as the parents were dragging them out.”
The situation was resolved quickly. The movies were switched back over to their proper auditorium. The problem was a digital mix up; most theaters nowadays use a digital chip in their projectors to access movies. There was a slight problem in the server and the two different films were switched. Luckily, before the viewing children were traumatized for life, they got their hyper-intelligent sponge film.
“There’s no story here.” said the MetroLux 14 theater management.
