Despite it still technically being winter, Arizona has officially hit spring/summer weather. Many people may be dreading the hot weather returning and plan to stay inside 24/7; But you don’t have to fear the weather. There are still many fun things to do during the spring time. I asked people around DV what they liked to do with their free time during this time of year.

“I like to go for nature walks and look at all the plants and flowers blooming. I also like to take my dog out for walks”, Freshman, Brie Anderson said. Another student said “I love laying out by the pool by myself or friends, and it’s super nice to go into the pool after tanning” Junior, Kayla Schmidt said.

Not to mention, down in Scottsdale, the San Francisco Giants are having their spring training and if you’re a baseball fan, it would be fun to go down and join the festivities. If you are a big fan of music, you might want to check out the Pot of Gold festival going on March 17 & 18.

Also, if you are wanting to stay in the air conditioning, you can always go to the Phoenix Art Museum. If you are a fan of animals and would like to see some amazing exotic animals, you can check out the Phoenix Zoo. They have a wide range of animals, like birds, monkeys and large cats like tigers.
