Student Spotlight: In the game of life with RJ
Meet RJ Reyes, a 15 year-old Desert Vista Highschool student. We sat down with RJ to find out what’s important to him in life.
Q: 1 What things did you enjoy in other places you’ve lived?
A: “Well, growing up in Indiana, I was actually kind of a big fan of just playing soccer a lot. I grew up playing soccer and stopped as soon as I moved because I couldn’t find a club to play with anymore.”
Q: 2 Why would you like to create a video game company?
A: “Well, I feel like that. If I created something new and original, that more people would be into it. But then there’s also the downside of people not liking it. But I just wanted to make a game. Like, I thought, I feel like that I would understand enough, but I still need to learn more code,” said RJ.
Q: 3 What career would you like to have? Or what major would you like to study?
A: “Well, I would like to major in computer science, because I have been into coding for a while now. And have been, I’ve made a few like simple games, like a maze game I’m still working on. That’s nothing much but I still can’t figure out how to use commands.”
Q: 4 What is your favorite game and why?
A: “Well, I have two different systems, a PC and an Xbox One. And for each system, I’ve been enjoying playing Valorant and Minecraft on my computer and Dead by Daylight on my Xbox.”
Q: 5 What do you want your legacy to be? And how do you want to be remembered?
A: “Well, if I, if I were to die at this moment, I want to be remembered for how much kindness I’ve had in the past and now trying to make people happier.”
