Meet Lauren Tsai, a freshman at Desert Vista High School. Lauren is a nice, quiet, and helpful teenager who loves to travel. She was born in Phoenix, Arizona and someday, she would like to travel to as many places as she can go to.

“My favorite part of traveling would be exploring new places, and discovering new cultures,” said Tsai.

Lauren’s traveling has been full of fun experiences.

“Going to Yellowstone has been really memorable for me,” she said. “We went to different areas of it and got to experience different weather and different environments.”

However, the pandemic has changed her plans.

“We’re supposed to go to Alaska over Summer break. But we had to cancel it due to COVID. And my family, we couldn’t see any of our relatives because we’ve been quarantining.” 

Fortunately, Lauren has found new ways to spend her time.

“I started drawing, trying to draw comic characters to expand my artistic styles,” said Tsai. “But I’ve also been baking new recipes.” 

This pandemic has affected everyone differently. Getting to know Lauren has been fun. You should get to know her too this semester!
