Student Spotlight: Joining Jordan for a few questions
Have a converssation sith Jordan Cole, a freshman at DV.
Q: In your CD collection? Are they mostly different types of CDs? Or is there a theme of the type?
A: There’s a lot of different CDs, I’ve got a lot. Um, I’ve listened to every genre of music except for country. I cannot stand country music. But there’s no theme.
Q: What instruments do you play and what made you choose them?
A: I play the bass guitars over their keyboard and my ukulele right here. I had an emo phase in like, fifth grade, and I listened to a lot of 21 pilots. So I thought I could play the ukulele. I can’t play the ukulele but I bought one. And then my mom got me a bass for Christmas. And then a guitar for Christmas. And then I got this keyboard for like $60 at a thrift store because I thought I was cool.
Q: What was the feeling when you caught the ball over your head? Are you a goalie?
A: Yeah, I’m a goalie. I’ve been playing soccer for a while. I wish I was in my room because I’d show you my medals, like a lot of medals. But I used to be a runner but I have really bad asthma. And so now I’m a goalie cuz it’s less running. Yeah. It’s terrifying having a ball, the size of your head come towards your head. And we were tied. And so I didn’t want to lose because we hadn’t lost a game yet. And I didn’t want the loss to be on me. Yeah. Oh, pretty exhilarating.
Q: But what was it like moving multiple times, like with the school situation and all that?
A: When I lived in Wisconsin, I was little, so I didn’t go to school. And when in Georgia. A is when I started school. And moving from then I was in second grade. And then I moved here in third grade. So it was kind of sad, but I hadn’t really made that many friendships.
Q: So last one, why is your hatred for hot pockets so strong
A: I know they’re just gross. Sometimes you don’t cook them right and so it’s either burned or like frozen. And it’s disgusting.
