Friday Night Out

On every second Friday of the month there is an outdoor block party styled event hosted by the Downtown Mesa Merchants. The event, which is always held in the same location of downtown Mesa, starts at 6pm and runs until 10pm every month. The event has a different theme each month as well, some of which have been fashion shows, pop culture art shows, classic car shows, music festivals and more. There is usually live music and the events are pet-friendly. There are even contests and prizes some months. Multiple participating restaurants and stores stay open later than usual the night of the event for the convenience of the attendees. The family friendly occasion showcases original art, food vendors and authentic downtown Mesa shops. Titled “2nd Friday Night Out in Mesa,” their last event was an Independent Music Project (IMP) Fest featuring local bands.

“Mesa downtown galleries and businesses have joined together to create an exciting and friendly way to spend a Friday evening! Art, dining, shopping, activities, entertainment, and fun every 2nd Friday of the month! And it’s free!” A commenter wrote on their official website- 2ndfridaynightout.com
