Help Keep DV Clean!

Earth Day is approaching and it’s all about taking care of our earth, as big things to help this world seem very far from an average high schooler, they can start small. Students can start at their campus, by keeping it clean and friendly. Desert Vista is a large school with many students that create an abundance of trash, during lunch and even during class.

Students should take pride in the school they go to and try to keep it clean. This means cleaning up after you eat at a lunch table, picking up trash after you’ve dropped it, not putting chewed gum under desks and not writing or drawing inappropriate pictures or words on desks.

Students should keep campus clean for several reasons really, and most are extremely reasonable.

First off, it is very inconsiderate. There are hard workers, such as the janitors and the security, on campus that clean up and are here to help keep the campus clean, and when students leave trash around campus without regards for others, it is extremely rude. There is simply no excuse for something that is very simple, like a student picking up trash.

Another reason is the campus doesn’t deserve to be left dirty and vandalised, leaving gum under the desk and on the floor, it is very disrespectful toward the school and other students.

The problem students have mostly is that they don’t care and it is not their responsibility. That needs to change, our campus is a community that should be kept clean and cared for.
