Malaysian flight MH17 went missing July 17, 2014. The search was never ending until the Dutch Safety Board had figured that a Russian missile hit the plane. The missile hit the nose of the plane right above the cockpit. This caused the airplane to break apart in mid-air. 283 people were aboard MH17. The Malaysian Airline plane crashed in Eastern-Ukraine, there were no survivors. Many news stations throughout the country closely covered this.
