Colin Kaepernick has played one of the worst games in his career. When the 49ers played against the Cardinals Colin threw 4 interceptions and the Cardinals scored 24 points because of that. The 28 year old was drafted by the 49ers in 2011 and led the 49ers to the Super Bowl in 2012 and the NFC championship game in 2013. Colin’s coach Jim Tomsula benched Kaepernick to give him a mental break. QB Blaine Gilbert will take Collin’s place. Colin is benched officially for the game against the Atlanta Falcons.

“This was just a decision that I just felt like I wanted Colin to step back and breath,” said Coach Jim Tomsula.
