Trevone Boykin assaults police officer

Days before the Alamo Bowl, TCU quarterback Trevone Boykin was arrested and charged with a third degree felony. Boykin was out at a bar in San Antonio celebrating with a couple of teammates when a fight started up inside the bar. It was later continued outside when Boykin struck a police officer. Boykin was suspended from Saturday’s bowl game against Oregon. Striking an officer was not the only reason Boykin was suspended from Saturday’s game. He came back to his hotel room before curfew and a few hours later snuck back out and disobeyed the set rules. TCU wide receiver, Preston Miller, was also with Boykin at the time and was suspended as well. Both of the athletes bonds were $5,000.
