Crimson Peak review

Crimson Peak is a movie of mystery, horror, and scandal, that is set in Cumbria, England. One of the main characters, a young author named Edith Cushing (Mia Wasikowska) falls in love and marries Sir Thomas Sharpe (Tom Hiddleston) but Dr. Alan McMichael who is a childhood friend of Edith is suspicious about Sir Thomas Sharpe.

Edith then discovers that her new husband is not who he appears to be and is holding back a few dark secrets. His home holds many ghostly and mysterious secrets, which he and his sister, Lady Lucille Sharpe (Jessica Chastain), desperately try to hide. Edith who is haunted by her mother with the warning “Beware Of Crimson Peak” which is later founded out to be the unofficial name of Sharpe’s mansion due to the red clay beneath it.

While staying in the mansion Edith is visited by many ghosts to go the mines down below which becomes constant with each day passing. Despite a warning from her husband Sir Thomas who is waiting for the fortune of the deceased Carter Cushing. Which is soon revealed to have been killed by Lucille. Edith ventures into the attic where the two siblings were holed up by their abusive mother and then she soon ventures into the mines where she discovers the decaying corpse of Sir Thomas’s last victim.
