Xbox one elite controller review

The Xbox One elite controller was released on October 27 for $150. This controller has more features than a typical Xbox one controller priced at $60.

I have been using it for about twelve days letting me tell if it really lives up to the name or not.

It indeed does since it increases the performance of my gameplay by a lot.

The main feature is the pads on the back where there’s normally nothing. The elite controller instead has four pads which can be pressed and used in any game.

On a normal controller fingers wrap around the controller and touch nothing. Now putting your fingers around the controller is purposeful since you can remap the buttons on the back to be any of the standard buttons.

If you have one of the buttons on the back set as Y, you can change it with a magnet and set it as any other button on the controller. This is very helpful, especially in first person shooting games where reloading quickly is a necessity.

Another cool thing is that you can use an app to adjust the sensitivity of the hair triggers on the back. Instead of having to pull the triggers all the way back to shoot you can make it so that pressing only a little will activate it. This is very important for first person shooters.

The main thumbsticks used to move around and look in-game can be taken out and put back in with ease unlike the normal Xbox controllers, which couldn’t do this at all. This allows for an unlimited amount of customization on your controller. This is the same for the d-pad, which can be swapped out as well.

I will continue use of this controller for sure, my skills have improved since using it and the feel of it is just as comfortable as the regular controller. If you need help getting better this is a product you should definitely purchase.
