Allegiant is the third movie to go along with the Divergent series. The book series, by Veronica Roth, features three books; Divergent, Insurgent and Allegiant. Finally, the last movie is coming out based off of the last book of the series. In the previous movies, Tris and Four have been fighting a war inside of their own town. Now, they must go outside of the city walls of Chicago, and work to find a solution to their broken city. They have to leave the only place they know, and have ever known. Once outside of the wall, Tris and Four learn that their discoveries that they believed to be true, are nothing to the new surprising things they learn outside of Chicago. Unfortunately, a rough battle starts outside of Chicago that threatens humanity all over the world. Tris has to decide who she can trust, and fast, as time is running out. She makes many sacrifices and tough decisions in order to save humanity, and herself in the process. Shailene Woodley and Theo James play as Tris Prior and Four, the two main characters in the film. Alongside them are Ansel Elgort and Miles Teller, who play as Caleb Prior and Peter. Zoë Kravitz plays Christina, a close friend and ally to Tris.
The film is rated PG-13 for some intense violence and partial nudity. It runs a little over two hours, and was directed by Robert Schwentke.The film hits the theaters on March 18th and the movie premiere on Monday night in New York was excitement for all. Grab a friend and some popcorn this Friday and head to your nearest theater for this adventurous, action-packed film.
