Mind of Mine
On March 25th, 2015, Zayn Malik shocked the world by announcing his departure from the biggest boy band in the world, One Direction. For a while, nobody heard from him or any hints of a solo act. That changed in a blink of an eye. All of a sudden, Zayn releases a new single, “PILLOWTALK” and starts talking about an album in the making. Almost a year later after his devastating drop from the music world, he is coming back with a new music style, along with a new album.
The first big thing to notice about this album is the album cover. It features a photo of a younger Zayn, and his current tattoos are photoshopped onto his arms. Some have noticed the similarities with Zayn’s album cover, and a few of Lil Wayne’s album covers. While Lil Wayne did not come out onto social media about it, some fans were a little frustrated. Zayn did come onto Twitter on the 18th of February explaining, “I’m not tryna be no rapper , my album is me a child .. My ideas have been with me a long time,”.
His first solo album features several new songs that he has released, such as, “LIKE I WOULD”, and “iT’s YoU”, along with “PILLOWTALK”, which was mentioned before. The album is to drop on March 25th, but you can preorder “Mind of Mine” on iTunes for $12.99.
