BTS WINGS:You Never Walk alone

The internationally popular korean boy group BTS, is scheduled to released their upcoming Album “WINGS: you never walk alone”, on February 13th, 2017. This album has been widely anticipated by fans as it is an extension to their previous album, “WINGS”.

BTS’s previous album sold over 750,000 copies, and also topped on the Billboard charts at 26. After the release of the album on October 10, 2016, the group’s popularity increased dramatically, and exceeded worldwide. BTS has one of the largest international fandoms, though most their fans come from the South Pacific and the United States.

Like most Kpop groups, every album has a concept; most concepts are hard to decipher and usually leave the fans to theories and trying uncover hidden messages in the music videos. BTS’s WINGS theory is based on the book Demian, written by Hermann Hesse. The book is based on a boy named Sinclair, who lives in a world where there are two spiritual realms, a light  realm and a dark realm. As Sinclair goes from his childhood into his manhood, Sinclair takes his mind from the light realm to the dark realm, with special help of his friend Demian how makes Sinclair question almost everything in life. The teasers for the WINGS album were a series of seven short films, in each films each of the members represented Sinclair throughout his childhood and manhood. Though there are many theories this is the most common.

BTS also announced their first world tour, “2017 BTS Live Trilogy Episode III: The Wings Tour”. The agency, BigHit Entertainment,  released dates and locations saying they would be performing in Seoul, Santiago, Sao Paulo, Newark, and Anaheim between February and April.
