“Well, I’ve been watching YouTube, like most people, for at least a decade now,” said James Yeretzian, a freshman at Desert Vista. But James has taken a deeper interest in the social media platform, YouTube. He has, for years now uploaded videos to this popular site.

“My friends and I have made YouTube videos. I’ve probably been making YouTube videos for four years with them,” he said.

Two years ago, James decided to start his own YouTube channel

“Primarily my YouTube Channel is about making people laugh and I really enjoy making people laugh.”

I want people to sorta get something out of my videos. He has lots of examples of comedic videos to his credit.

“Specifically for this class… I dressed up as a girl,”  he said. “I thought I’d make a character and just go off of it and try to make people laugh. In I think May of July, May or June, I started I started making some gaming/ comedic content. Since then I’ve gained about 30 subscribers, I think I’m at 84, 85 subscribers now.

But dressing up as a girl isn’t the only the thing James does.

“In I think May of July, May or June, I started I started making some gaming/ comedic content,” he said. “Since then I’ve gained about 30 subscribers, I think I’m at 84, 85 subscribers now.”

But like anything, James’s youtube channel has come with its own set of challenges.

“I haven’t really had any mean comments but I have had some demotivation,” he said. “I have to be funny when I’m editing or it just won’t be funny overall.”

Luckily he is staying positive.

“I’ve had some doubts but I think I’m going in the right direction.”

When asked if has  any future goals or like hopes or anything you wanna achieve or accomplish, he joked, “A million sub- nah I’m just kidding”

“I just want to get to a point where I can confidently say I can film edit and produce good content,” he said.

And I’m sure he will.
