A recent danger for Arizona has arisen. As of September 10, 11 shootings have occurred on the local highways, including nine on Interstate 10, one on the Loop 202 and one on Interstate 17. The first incident occurred on August 29, when an SUV was shot at on the Interstate 10.

On the Loop 202, September 6, another car was hit. That same day, a truck on Interstate 17 was hit as well.

On many highways, signs are reading “I-10 Shooter Tip Line 602-644-5805” in an attempt to catch the shooter.

On September 11, suspect Oscar De La Torre was arrested and questioned.

The Department of Public Safety has been patrolling neighborhoods and watching the freeways through cameras at DPS headquarters.

Silent Witness is offering a $20,000 reward leading to the arrest of the shooter.
