5 Seconds of Summer returns to Phoenix

Australian band 5 Seconds of Summer, whose music is a blend of classic pop and post-Green Day punk, return to Phoenix during their tour ‘Sounds Live Feels Live’.

5 Seconds of Summer include Luke Hemmings (19), Calum Hood (19), Michael Clifford (19) and Ashton Irwin (21). These Australian heartthrobs topped the U.S charts with a self-titled album of vivacious pop-punk songs in 2014. Their big break started when they were featured as the opening for One Direction’s ‘Where We Are’ tour in 2014. They released their hit single She Looks So Perfect from the album in February of 2014.

Recently, they released their new album Sounds Good Feels Good which is currently #6 on the iTunes chart. Billboard noted on their second cover story of 5 Seconds of Summer, “5SOS is an anomaly in 2015: a Generation Z guitar band that sells records….On Sounds Good Feels Good, the guitars thunder more…” Alternative Press, which rewarded the album four stars, observed, “Sounds Good Feels Good delivers…The album finds its crux in the first single, She’s Kinda Hot, with the triumphant line in the chorus: ‘We are the kings and the queens of the new broken scene’.” The single She’s Kinda Hot won Song of the Summer at the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards.

To start off their tour of Sounds Live Feels Live, Australian rockers 5 Seconds of Summer will return to Phoenix on Saturday, Sept. 10 at the Ak- Chin Pavilion. Tickets are already on sale.
