Relay For Life

Relay+For+Life

A local fundraising event, Relay For Life, is providing potential student volunteers with a full 24 hours of volunteering credit.

The event raises money for cancer through donations and entry fees. Those who want to participate must gather a relay team and go to the set track location on April 2, one person from each team must be walking on the track at all times during the time period. Because the event runs a full 24 hours, those who participate will be provided with tents (1 for each team) and will sleep on/at the track.

Committee meetings will be held at a set time, a multiple number of times before the event takes place (the times for each meeting are to be determined and will eventually be posted on the Daily Bolt). To gain a full 24 hours of volunteer credit, a student must volunteer for an hour either before the event setting up, or after the event cleaning up, and also participate in the actual event.
