Bell schedule struggle

Over the course of the last few years, in short spans of time, the bell schedule gets messed up. The minute music begins to play a minute early, which leads to the bells ringing one minute early too. Students do not know why this happens.

“I didn’t even realize the bell schedule was messed up,” senior Zak Koudssi said. “I like being able to leave early anyway, my classes bore me.”

There are many seniors have an early release schedule anyway, but this just shows how subtly messed up the schedule was.

“It bothers me that the schedules are messed up,” freshman Bella Lonto said. “Being a freshman and just getting all the bell schedules down, it throws me off a little bit, but it is not that big of a deal.”

This change in the schedule definitely throws freshman off. Being new to campus and trying to figure out our way around, the error in the bells does not make it any easier for the newbies on campus.

“Yes I am aware that it does happen sometimes.” Chem-Phys teacher Mrs. Cassandra Cline said. “It throws me off a little bit that the music begins to play earlier; that is my reminder that I need to get back to my classroom to begin my class. I also thinks it is nice for students to have as a reminder; they won’t have that in college.”

This glitch in the bell schedule is even affecting the teachers. Everyone on campus is so used to having five minutes to get anything done, but with this error it makes it a little bit harder for students, and even for the teachers to keep all the schedules straight.

“I think having to remember three schedules per week already is way too much, but with the error in the bell schedule, it just makes everything that I have worked so hard to memorize go away.” freshman Bayleigh Haferbier said. “I really think that it should be fixed. It just makes things more complicated.”
