Students Spread the Love

Throughout the week of February 13th Tempe Union is holding a district wide spirit week. The be the change club was running it here at Desert Vista. The weeks theme is spread the love. Each day students have a theme to follow and dress up for that has something to do with kindness or love.

“I love spirit weeks” freshman Haidyn Moroz said “As a cheerleader I take spirit weeks very seriously. My friends and I all try to match our outfits.I really like superhero day because i get to wear my super cool superhero socks. ”

Be the change club held a competition for third hour classes. They were to take a picture with everyone dressed out for the spirit day each day and post it on to Twitter. They could use the hashtag #dvspreadlove and put their third hour teacher to enter to win a pizza party during ac lab.

“I really want to win the pizza party” Freshman Tyler Welch said “I dress up for every spirit day and i know most of my class does too. I think we have a really good chance of winning the pizza party”

Students loved this weeks spirit week and had a lot of fun dressing up. The be the change club is very happy with the outcome. They hope that students remember what the weeks was really about, spreading love and kindness.

“ Spread the love week has been my favorite spirit week yet this year” said Moroz
