Desert Vista Thunder Media will be having a fundraiser at the Chandler Boulevard shop (411 East Chandler Boulevard) between the hours 5 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, April 12, to support their program. In order for 50 percent of the proceeds to go to Desert Vista, students will need to bring the flyer, show it on their smartphone, or tell the cashier that they are supporting the cause. This fundraiser is a beneficial, smart and delicious way for students to support the school.

“Chipotle is a very fun place with awesome food; I love the salads and the burritos. Chipotle is probably my favorite restaurant, and I will definitely go there to support DV,” said freshman Karina Camargo.

Chipotle has a variety of healthy, affordable food: Tacos, burritos, salads and even a kids menu that includes different types of quesadillas. Along with the food, they have tasty sides and a variety of drinks. Chipotle is a very unique, casual, quick and appetizing Mexican-style grill that is popular because of the high quality natural and organic ingredients found in all the different types of food.

“This is the first year that we have done one of the food fundraisers, but I know that there are many clubs on campus that have done them and have been really successful,” said Michelle Coro, the teacher in charge of the fundraiser. “Our campus has been really lucky to be supported by several of our restaurants and organizations throughout the area and it was nice that a new Chipotle opened up down the street.”
