The Tempe Union Sports Award ceremony, an event where all the best coaches of the year come and they get appreciated for everything they have done and accomplished over the year of hard work, will take place on Sunday, April 30th at ASU Gammage.

The Arizona Republic will be hosting the annual Sports Award program, featuring celebrity guest, Larry Fitzgerald. The red carpet starts at 7pm and the awards will be at 8pm. The tickets to come and show support are $20 per ticket. To get a good seat it’s strongly advised to get there early.

The sports award will be honoring all the best coaches of the year. The coaches be honoring are Boys Golf Coach Matt Russo, Girls Cross Country Coach of the year Jeff Messer and Girls Swimming Coach of the year Shawn O’Connell. These coaches are being honored for having qualities and strengths that made their team the best they could be.

The show they are putting on for the night will feature various awards, entertainment, and guest speakers. The awards are sponsored by many different types of supporters such as Arby’s which is the main sponsor of the evening.

Not only the coaches but the athletes that are in the sports are also being recognizing hard and put the best they can forward.
