Prom season

Desert Vista’s “Happily Ever After” Prom is on Saturday April 22nd and tickets went on sale on March 27th. While some students are still contemplating whether they want to go or not, some students are already preparing and figuring out the details of their magical night.

“I was never even planning on going to prom,” junior Rodrigo Corona said, “I’m still not really sure if I want to go or not.”

While Prom is an event that most students long await for their junior and senior year, some students just don’t think the Prom scene is for them. They would rather just stay lowkey and hangout with some friends who have the same opinion about Prom. For seniors it is one of the last opportunities to all come together before graduation.

“I still need to shop for a dress,” junior Rachel Quast said, “And I also told some of my friends that I would do their makeup before the dance. I’m really looking forward to it.”

And other students are making their plans and checking minor details off their lists because the big day is quickly arriving. While dress shopping is still a main priority for most girls, some are at least calmed to know who will be doing their makeup for the evening.

“I already have my dress,” junior Paige Bowen said, “I still have to figure out most of the little details of the whole things but for the most part it is all some what figured out.”
