E. Coli closes 43 Chipotle restaurants

Is Chipotle your favorite? Don’t you just love the taste of E. Coli? Yes, you heard right, E. Coli.

43 Chipotle restaurants closed due to E. Coli scare in the northwest, specifically Washington and Oregon. Health officials still have not released what in the smorgasbord of ingredients caused this outbreak but there were earlier cases where the tomatoes were the source of salmonella.

Out of 22 cases reported in Washington one-in-three people that reported are in the hospital. Surprisingly, no one has died but I am relieved to see that Chipotle is closing their doors to find the source of this nasty Shiga toxin E. coli. Because health is an important key to leading the life you live, I would not recommend going to Chipotle for a month or so, give them time to find the source track the source and make sure E. coli didn’t find it’s way into your next steak burrito.

An investigation into the E. coli spread is being done by the Washington State Department of Agriculture, U.S. Food and Drug Administration and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
