Did you like Paper Towns?

Paper Towns by John Green was one of his many well-written books. Paper Towns was equally funny as it was intriguing. A book about a boy doing anything for a girl who doesn’t know he likes her keeps you reading and hoping for a happy ending.

Green’s novel demonstrates true friendship. Quentin and Margo were close as kids but throughout high school had drifted apart. Nonetheless, they are able to reunite as if no time had passed. Their relationship proves that friends can get through anything. The two friends could not be more different, from personalities, to status, to plans for the future. Yet, both have something to learn from the other.

Paper Towns is easy to relate to for any high school student. The novel highlights the social challenges that many teens struggle with everyday. As Quentin is a smart and driven student, he struggles when he has to choose between his goodie-two-shoes, perfect student personality and breaking some rules to have an amazing senior year with his biggest crush.

Paper Towns is an easy read and relatively short. I recommend it to high school students who have some free time. For those who enjoy Paper Towns, I would recommend any of John Green’s other books including The Fault in Our Stars, and Looking for Alaska, which are both equally funny and sad so have tissues ready. As for Paper Towns, I would rate it a 7 out of 10. It was really good but I wouldn’t read it again.
