Terraria Review

Terraria is a 2D open world sandbox game available for PC, Xbox one and PS4 and Android tablets. The main goal of the game is to survive by building a house so that the creatures of the night don’t attack you.

Most people think of Terraria as a Minecraft rip off when they first hear about it, but in reality is has much more content that Minecraft could ever offer. It includes over 600 different crafting recipes with each one making a completely different item.

Building a house can be fun and simple, or you can go all out and create the craziest house ever using tons of different blocks found in the game. There’s a grid system to make building easy for beginners but still complex enough for experienced players a challenge.

Atop of everything so far there is also plenty of armour items and weapons like swords and guns, even bows can be created along with arrows. These are earned by either crafting them or killing bosses who have a chance of dropping the weapons you want.

One aspect of the game is the bosses alone. The developers spent time making sure each one is different so each time it’s another fighting experience. It’s very fun killing a boss and earning a cool new weapon I can experiment with.

Another part of the game is digging to the underworld. The underworld is so far down you have to have an incredibly strong drill or pickaxe to be able to get there or it will take many hours.

The underworld is a weird place filled with lava and a bunch of weird monsters that want to kill you. You need to be prepared, especially to fight the wall of flesh, one of the hardest bosses in the game.

Each of the elements added to the game make it fun and a new experience. Even though I have gotten wary of playing for so long it’s still fun going back and trying everything again. It’s also amazing that the developers still continue to update the game with content each month to keep it fresh.

Terraria is one of the games you will definitely get addicted to and is a must get.
