Too many new Marvel superhero movies

The production of live-action films about some of our favorite Marvel superheroes has been going on since the mid 20th century and still has not stopped. Over the years, the number fans of a certain superhero created by Marvel have grown greatly because of how popular some of these superhero movies have gotten; even more so than the original and new comics.

Throughout my life I’ve seen almost every Marvel movie ever made, regardless of which production studio made the movie and I’ve enjoyed quite a lot of them. The studio that produced movies such as “Iron Man”, “Captain America” and “The Avengers”, Marvel Studios, made apparently made Marvel “phases,” where a group of movies with each hero that Marvel Studios filmed is made. So far, there have been three phases; phase one and phase two have had six movies made in each. However after looking at the list for Marvel phase three, I’ve counted nine more movies. Nine! Now, there’s nothing wrong with more Marvel movies considering the fact that I love them, but do you think they’ll be really successful with even more movies than we asked for? Most of us know that almost half of these new movies are simply new origin stories, with the exception of Spiderman.

The movie I’m  about is “Doctor Strange”, which is coming out in November of this year. If you didn’t know already, Doctor Strange is a magic-based character in Marvel who I’m surprised that not many people found out about him until recently. Would lesser-known character perform just as well as the other origin-story-movies, or would it fail? And more importantly, would magic fit in with the mostly-scientific theme of the Marvel movies?

I’m sure the amount of new movies coming out in a few years is leading many Marvel fans on. What concerns me is if Marvel phase three actually will meet the expectations of the fans, with the addition of the budget for producing each movie. For example, the “Fantastic Four” reboot produced by 20th Century Fox riled up many fans after they saw the trailer, but the movie itself disappointed them. A lot. I feel as if at least one of the movies will play out almost as bad as the Fantastic Four reboot. But hey, who knows?
