Counter Strike: Global Offensive Review

Counter Strike: Global Offensive Review

Counter Strike Global Offensive is a game known for its fun and smooth gameplay. I haven’t gotten around to playing it until about a month ago.

On the startup of the game there is nothing to help you around. No tutorial on how to play the game is given and you are put immediately into the menu screen. This left me somewhat confused since I didn’t know where to go from there.

There are a bunch of game modes but close to no one plays any of them except the bomb mode. There are two teams, terrorists and the counter terrorists. The terrorists job is to escort a person with the bomb to the bomb site where they will plant it on the ground. The counter terrorists can stop this by eliminating all the enemies or defusing the bomb. This game mode is extremely fun and easy for any person to learn, but very hard to master.

On the start of a game you have a certain amount of money given to you. You use this money to buy a gun like an smg or a pistol. If you die you lose your guns and have to use the default one unless you buy more. You can earn money by winning rounds or getting kills. I feel as if this adds balance to the game so that your teammates play it smart instead of running in and dying.

Something that makes this game different from other first person shooters is the wide ranges of camos. You can earn different types of cases each having their own types of guns or knife camos. To open the case you have to purchase a key for $2.50. I think this is a great way to customize your guns but it costs way too much for a key.

This is a game that is really fun, especially with friends. If you enjoy first person shooters that give you a challenge this is one you may want to check out for yourself.
