Abortion is a very controversial topic and has recently been intensified whether or not it should be permitted.  As of now abortion is legal but many people are enraged that something like this is legal.  Should abortion be allowed?

Some people find it hard to swallow that people, especially mother and fathers to be are allowed to take away an innocent life.  An online post states that “The killing of an innocent human being is wrong, even if that human being has yet to be born. Unborn babies are considered human beings by the US government.  Those that argue that abortion is unconstitutional and unethical say things like abortion is murder, people that are able to take away a life and be okay with it should be punished.

On the other hand, those that are in favor of abortion claim that abortion is protected and is a fundamental right granted to women.  A case was taken to supreme court and was decided that abortion is a choice, a choice granted to women saying that “The ability of women to participate equally in the economic and social life of the Nation has been facilitated by their ability to control their reproductive lives.”

Since abortion is such a controversial matter of conversation and it is so sensitive it is hard for some people to decide whether or not the practice should be legal.  They proclaim that since there is a human life that is in the hands of a group of people it should not be rushed into.

As for now abortion is still a legal practice in the United States but those who are trying to fight it show no sign of stopping now.
