Desert Vista High School is in need of more lunch tables. First of all there can’t be just one lunch, there has to be two, because of how many students are here. Even with two lunches there are so many people that sit on the ground because there aren’t enough tables.

The problem with not having enough tables is that students are sitting on the stairs to the B building , near the gym doors, in any place where people are trying to walk to get to their next class, and even security guards needing to get to where they need to be.

Another problem is that there is no shade. It is always hot in Arizona, so whoever sits in the sun will be hot. Most of the few lunch tables outside are under a roof. More than half of the lunch that sits outside sits on the floor so the people who get to lunch early sit under the very few spots left where there is shade.

Another problem for sitting on the floor is that students who sit on the floor leave trash where they sit. Therefore DV needs more lunch tables because students sitting on the floors get in the way of other peers and staff, unsanitary, has ants coming near them, not many trash cans where the people on the floor sit and not many options to get shade.
