Do students have to really wear lanyards for identification? Since our first day of school all students are required to wear lanyards that identify who we are. Each lanyard given to students has their name, picture, and school id number on it. The id itself helps identify students for our safety. It is required by the school that every student is wearing their lanyard throughout the whole school day and if caught with no lanyard on, it could lead to detention.

Even though there are students who disapprove of wearing lanyards everyday to school, it is a requirement that we all must follow for our safety, protection, and to help prepare the students for the future.

Bringing your lanyard with your identification on it everyday to school helps teach students responsibility. Which will come in handy in the future. Wearing these lanyards increase our protection and makes it easier for security and staff to identify us in any case of emergency. Safety first! Wearing the lanyards also helps at lunch time when students are buying food, they can easily take their lanyard and scan it to pay for their lunch and to make the line go a little faster.

It is important to wear these lanyards at all times in case of an emergency. Wearing a school id helps increase protection for the students and to keep our school safe. I believe it is a very good idea to wear a school id everyday to school for the safety of the students.
