More school clubs leading to more student involvement

As students begin to grow older and college becomes of a higher priority, nothing is more important than those college applications. For those students who are looking to get into good schools, extracurricular activities such as after school clubs are crucial for the perfect application, but finding the clubs that are right for you can be tricky. To promote student involvement and create a greater variety of clubs, students should become more involved and start their own clubs.

The main reason kids don’t join school clubs is because they can’t find one they have interest in. All it takes is nine students and one teacher, a total of ten people, plus a funding source, to start a club. More clubs means more student involvement and opportunities and with a wider variety of clubs and after school activities, students can find hobbies they enjoy and hope to learn more about.

There are also many perks to starting a club. One benefit is that beginning a club would look good on a college application and show leadership qualities. Another reason is students can make many new friends with similar interests. Students will also learn a lot about themselves and others. Learning how to work with others and become a leader is a crucial part of daily life, and starting or joining clubs will promote that. Kids will understand how they work and how others work, which will be very helpful in the work environment, as well as teamwork and how to engage with a diverse group of people.

The creation of new clubs will not only help other people, but also the students who begin them and it will increase the level of student participation in school activities.
