School Bathrooms

Among Desert Vista students, school bathrooms are a topic that’s discussed a lot. To find out what they thought of them, I asked a variety of DV students what they thought of the school bathrooms.

“They’re definitely not the nicest bathrooms, but they’re usable. I’d personally like to have cleaner mirrors and a more cleanly facility as well,” said Karly Makay, freshman.

Jordan Paige, freshman, agreed with Makay. “I don’t like the mirrors, but besides that I think they serve their purpose.”

Both Makay and Paige agreed that they operate fine and do their job but the mirrors are an issue.

“They’re nasty and the mirrors are awful,” said Emma Lee, freshman. She had the same point as Karly, that not only the mirrors are not good, but that the cleanliness of the bathrooms should be improved.

“It’s gross, stinks, and overpopulated,” said freshman John Perkins. Perkins agrees with Paige, Makay, and Lee that they aren’t in the cleanest condition they could be.

“They work well enough for us to use, but aren’t as clean as I’d like them to be. They also have awful mirrors,” said freshman Ava Gentry. Gentry seems to have the same thoughts as the other people I interviewed.

“The water in the sink is usually burning hot, sometimes the girls are really unsanitary, and I also wish they had better toilet paper. They’re okay other than that,” said sophomore Skyler Sykes.
It’s clear that while we all agree that the bathrooms are fully functional and do their jobs, they would be appreciated more if they were a little cleaner, less busy, and had better mirrors.
