As spring starts, so does Desert Vista lacrosse. Lacrosse is not a school sport, it is club, so boys of all ages can play on the team and they don’t even have to go to Desert Vista.

The boys have been conditioning very hard all through the off season and are prepared to take on the season ahead of them.

All three levels (JV, D2 varsity, and D1 varsity) have high expectations for this upcoming year. Especially D1 varsity, because they are the defending state champions, and most of the kids on that team returned to play again this year.

“I think we have a great chance of going to state this year,” said Cade van Raaphorst. “Our team is stacked and our defensive front is almost unstoppable.”

VanRaaphorst is a Duke University commit and returning state player from the 2014 team.
