Kentucky’s Season in Review

The Kentucky Wildcats men’s basketball team was a story of success this season. They ended their season with their one and only loss to the Wisconsin Badgers. The Cats went 38-1 this season, an NCAA record amount of wins, and managed to crush many teams on their rise to the top.

They began the season with nine McDonald’s All-American players and were predicted to win the NCAA title if they could work together. As a team, the Cats were almost able to do that, going 34-0 in the regular season and surviving several close calls. Those games that were close may have been Kentucky at its finest.

One of the best games they played was against Notre Dame in the Elite Eight, where after being down most of the game, they came back in the final two minutes and won the games after the Harrison brothers knocked down a three pointer and made some free throws to clinch the game.

Their greatest performance, arguably, may have been in their only loss, to Wisconsin in the Final Four. After a rough start off the glass, with Wisconsin dominating the rebounds, they still played hard until the end.

Kentucky’s 2014-2015 men’s basketball team is in the talk for the greatest college team of all time, right next to the undefeated 1976 Indiana Hoosiers, and will be remembered for their historic run.
