The Top Prospects in the NFL Draft

The 2015 NFL Draft has many promising prospects, but the best scouts can find the needles in the haystacks and make a good selection, even amidst a pool of young talent.

The first gem in the draft is wide receiver Kevin White. White is the fastest receiver in the draft, and at 6’3’’possesses outstanding height. When you combine explosive speed with dominating height, you get a receiver who can make all the catches you need. White has all the potential to be a star receiver at the professional level. Plus, his height puts him in the upper class in terms of size among receivers in the draft. His talents would be utilized best on the Philadelphia Eagles, where they run a spread style offense.

The next gem is running back Todd Gurley, who, with his 6’1’’ frame and good speed, is better equipped than most NFL running backs. He is very similar to Marshawn Lynch, who he is often compared to. However, in contrast to Lynch, Gurley possesses more speed, which would make him far more balanced than the Seahawks star back. Gurley would fit best amid a balanced run scheme like the Jets or Giants, but his versatility allows him to fit anywhere.

After Gurley comes Leonard Williams. Williams is the definition of big. Weighing in at over 300 pounds and standing a full 6’5’’, he will be a dominant force coming across the line of scrimmage. The projected second pick, this defensive end is to be feared by offensive lineman across the league. Williams also ran the 40 in under five seconds, unheard of for a player of his size.

All of these prospects could make a huge difference if they are drafted to the right team and by the right coach.
