The first serve of the night was by Mackenzie Jefferson, number 14 for Desert Vista. The serve was returned by Gilbert’s Alexa Rockas #3 who hit a tip for a point.

Beginning to fall behind, Desert Vista called a timeout. Gilbert High came back with a serve, but DV gets the ball back over with a spike from Abigail Hansen #6.

The final score of game one was 25 – 19, a win for Gilbert High.

A few points into the second game, Gilbert High School’s Alyssa Gilmore tried to return a pass, instead hit the ball up but no teammate was there for the hit, bringing the score to 8 – 6 Desert Vista.

With the score tied 9 – 9 DV’s Mackenzie Jefferson had a fantastic serve that Gilbert can not return.

The final score of the second game was 25-20, a win for Desert Vista.

Game three went by quickly and was very action packed. With a lot of hits out from both teams, DV manages to rise up and go for the win.
The fourth and ,deciding game,  was a win for Desert Vista. With the final score 25-11.
